"Triumphant" released to iTunes with little fanfare

Mariah Carey has just released her brutally criticized "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" to iTunes today. As of 6:25 p.m. on the West Coast, the song has moved up from number 42 to number 40. On several message boards, Mariah Carey's "lambs" are trying to convince each other to buy several copies of the single.
"Triumphant (Get 'Em)" was supposed to be Mariah Carey's "comeback" single after her last album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel bombed. Mariah's musical career is in a lot more jeopardy now because even though her previous album bombed, it did yield one top ten hit called "Obsessed". If radio stations continue to ignore "Triumphant" and the song doesn't pick up hype on iTunes, it is likely that Mariah Carey could see her "comeback" single fail to make the top 40. That would be a huge embarrassment.
The saving grace of this all is that Mariah Carey will be a judge on American Idol. Even though the show has gone downhill in ratings, there is still enough of an audience draw where Mariah can perform a song and give it exposure. All hope is not lost and it's easy to forget that Mariah Carey is always the queen of comebacks.
