L.A. Reid and Island Def Jam Recordings have made it very clear: Spring 2009 belongs to them. During an exclusive event, Island Def Jam's Spring Collection, L.A. Reid and company showcased not only new and exclusive material coming from their flock of established artists, but also shined a massive light on several new acts falling under the pop, R&B and even alternative rock realms.
Island Def Jam debuts Kanye West video starring Rihanna at Spring Collection event. The event, which was held at the Stephen Weiss Studio in downtown NYC, housed some of the industry's most elite personalities and executives, all of whom were personally invited by Mr. L.A. Reid himself.
Leading things off, Reid began the evening's festivities with a vivid two-minute montage of the entire IDJ roster. Shortly after, L.A. presented new visuals from Fabolous ("My Time", "Throw It In The Bag") The-Dream ("Walking On The Moon" ft.
