Mariah Carey linking up with Rick Ross, Meek Mill

Mariah Carey has announced a Maybach Music Group collaboration for her next single, "Triumphant". Mimi tweeted this weekend, "So I can finally announce to you that my new single is coming out early August. It's called Triumphant (Get 'Em) ft. Rick Ross and Meek Mill" and added, "I wrote Triumphant when I was going through a difficult time and it helped me get through it. When you hear it, pay attention to the lyrics."
This is the not the first time Mariah has worked with Rick Ross; the two collaborated on the "Touch My Body (Remix)" a few years back. Fans were mixed in reactions over the collaboration. "That's awesome" shared one while another laughed, "Meek Mill will be hitting more high notes than Mariah on her new single."
Mariah is in "serious talks" per People. This comes on the heels of news last week that Jennifer Lopez would be leaving the behemoth reality show. During a radio chat with Ryan Seacrest on July 13, who also hosts "Idol", she didn't play coy. Lopez, who kicks off a tour with Enrique Iglesias on Saturday, said she's been in tour mode since the "Idol" finale. "It's just been a really long, tough process," Lopez said. "Ryan, you know more than anybody, I've been telling the truth. I really have been torn. When I signed on to 'Idol', I signed on to do one year. I ended up doing two years because I just fell so in love with the show. You know that. I never felt so much part of a family of something working on it as I did with 'Idol'. I didn't know I'd be so moved emotionally. It was just such a lovely surprise in my life to do it. But even last year, when I had to make the decision to come back for a second season, it was super tough to decide. I have my movies and my music and my this and my that. It all kind of worked together for a while. But it gets complicated."
Steven Tyler announced his exit on Thursday (July 12). As to who will fill his seat, a number of names have been churning in the gossip mill, including "Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Fergie and will.i.am. Third judge Randy Jackson's fate on the show also remains uncertain but his musical collaborating history with Mariah may keep him for another go.
