Nick Cannon: "I just try to be the best supportive husband I can be"
Nick Cannon is being the "best supportive husband" since Mariah Carey injured herself on a video shoot. The singer dislocated her shoulder and cracked ribs while shooting her latest music promo for single #Beautiful in New York City earlier this month. Mariah is in a lot of pain, so her presenter spouse Nick Cannon has been stepping in to help as much as possible - even using her phone for her.
"I just try to be the best supportive husband I can be," he told New York Post. "I help dial numbers on her iPhone and finish text messages. It's everything she would ever do with her right hand." Mariah was dressed in a gown and high heels and standing on a platform when she slipped and fell during the video shoot.
After being released from hospital, the 43-year-old revealed she had "bruises everywhere", but was determined to soldier on through the pain. Mariah vowed the "show must go on" and even performed a few days later despite her injuries at a previously scheduled benefit show at Central Park's Great Lawn in Manhattan.
Nick is now insisting that his superstar wife takes it easy while she recovers from her injuries. "She's kinda been propped up," he added. "The doctor said as much rest and relaxation as she can possibly get."
Mariah and Nick raise two-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan together. DJ-and-TV host Nick has done his best to explain to them has been happening since the accident. "They understand that Mommy has a boo boo," the 32-year-old added.
Mariah is currently promoting her album The Art of Letting Go, which is scheduled for release this year.
Mariah readies new album, more "#Beautiful" remixes
7/23 was supposed to bring with it the release of Mariah Carey's fourteenth studio album "The Art Of Letting Go". However, as reported, the premium diva has yet master the art - instead pushing back the project to ensure it's "just right".
This, though, hasn't halted her hustle when it comes to the LP's lead single "#Beautiful". A moderate hit (which peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100), the track easily serves as Mimi's biggest success in years; a fact which likely explains why she's milking it for all its worth.
In a new lamb moment audio message for fans (recorded on the day "Letting Go" was supposed to hit stores), the mother of two explains that not only is she still hard at work on the album, she's gearing up to release even more remixes of #Beautiful (she's already released more than five). MC plays a snippet of the not new dance remix (which includes new vocals).

Nick Cannon reveals details of Mariah Carey's 'pretty serious' injuries
A video shoot took a terrible turn for Mariah Carey on Sunday. While filming a video for her remix of "#Beautiful," the singer fell from a platform and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Carey's husband, "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon, stopped by TODAY and delivered an update on her condition Tuesday morning.
"It was pretty serious," he said of the on-set accident. "Not only did she dislocate her shoulder, she actually cracked a rib and ... she chipped her shoulder bone."
The injuries came after a simple slip.
"She was in this nice, beautiful gown, heels on and everything, and was kind of on this platform and reached and slipped and fell on her whole side," he explained.
But despite the wounds, Cannon insists his wife handled it all like "a trooper." He should know -- he served as director at the shoot.
"I was going to rush to the hospital with her, (but she said,) 'You get back in there and finish that video!' " he recalled. "Then, after they put (her) shoulder back in place, bandaged her all up, she came back to the video early in the morning and finished out everything."
Cannon said Carey just wants a good video after all that went into making it.
The singer's now following doctors' orders and is taking it easy ahead of a big charity performance in Central Park on Saturday, which will benefit the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
As for Cannon, he has a big project coming up too -- the return of his improve comedy show, "Wild 'N Out," after a six-year hiatus. Watch the clip above to see what he has to say about the return.

NY Post: Mariah Recovering After Shoulder Injury?

The superstar was rushed to New York's Hospital for Special Surgery on the Upper East Side late last night to have her shoulder reset after she fell while filming a video for the remix of her song #Beautiful.
Carey's spokeswoman Cindi Berger said, "Mariah fell while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon.
"She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home."
The songstress, who was at the center of the Macy's July 4th celebrations, has created a new mix of her hit song, originally recorded with Miguel, with rapper Young Jeezy. The song is the lead single for her upcoming album "The Art of Letting Go"
Another source tells us that Mariah, 40, may have tripped and fallen on her trademark high heels while filming the video downtown on Sunday evening.
And we're told that despite her painful injury, the Mariah will still appear at the free concert in Central Park's Great Lawn on July 13 in a concert with Major League Baseball to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. A source added, "She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling."

#Beautiful (Remix feat. Miguel and Young Jeezy)
Another day, another Mariah Carey "Beautiful" remix. After giving us a A$AP Rocky, Dance, and Spanglish version earlier this week, she recruits Atlanta native Young Jeezy for the official Hip-Hop remix. This is my personal favorite out of all them.
The new version features a reworked beat by DJ Mustard ("Rack City") Along with new vocals and lyrics from Mariah, this remix sounds like what Mariah fans have been waiting for, all the previous others were just unnecessary. The pop queen has one more remix of "Beautiful" left to release but I can't see her topping this version. Mariah's 14th studio album which is not "The Art Of Letting Go" is coming soon.

You having fun on that haystack there, Mariah Carey? The divalicious singer was spotted lounging on some hay while pre-recording part of the performance for her Macy's July 4th Spectacular. So, she's saying that hay is American? Not really sure I get the whole reason behind that, other than the fact that you can find hay in America? Guys, I just can't with Mariah. Also, why is she laying down but her duet partner Miguel has to creepily walk around her?
I mean, I guess if that's the type of thing they're going for. And is anybody else really amused by Mariah's outfit? Personally, I think she should have worn her Disney wedding dressand hung out on a haystack. Seems much more Mariah.

Mariah Carey, 43, pre-taped her Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular performance on June 27 at
Liberty State Park in NJ. The star just released two new remixes of her song "#Beautiful" featuring Miguel. While she recently announced that she is pushing back the July release of her new album in order to have more time on it, she's still on fire - especially in her red dress.
Mariah looked ready to walk the red carpet while performing on stage for her Macy's Independence Day show. In a stunning, floor length red gown the mega star looked smokin' hot. The dress was sexy yet whimsical, with a deep V-halter top and criss-cross front that left cutouts on the sides and in the back. It hugged Mariah's famous curves and made her look trim and toned.
The back featured two long pieces of fabric that flowed out behind the singer and one of them attached to her finger so it moved with her as she sang. We bet that made for a beautiful performance. The dress also featured sparkling embellishments on the front - and it's a good thing they were minimal because Mariah chose to add sparkle in so many other places.
In addition to her thick diamond bracelets and rings, her entire microphone and microphone stand were covered in jewels. There was so much bling it definitely looked more like a Grammy Awards performance than a Fourth of July concert, but she wouldn't be Mariah Carey if she wasn't a diamond covered diva, right?

There may be only one other diva who can give Beyonce's rendition of the National Anthem a run for its money. And for this upcoming Fourth of July, Mariah Carey might be preparing to show that she's up for the job. The 43-year-old songstress pre-taped a segment in New York on Thursday for an upcoming NBC special, Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Though the show - hosted by husband Nick Cannon - is set to air at 8pm EST, the pop star got to work a bit early in Liberty State Park.
Fitting for the American holiday, Mariah donned a vibrant red gown for the taping. Its train added an extra layer of glamour that the singer threw in the air with a flourish as she sang. Side cut-outs accentuated Mariah's enviable curves, while a diamond cuff boosted her sparkle factor.
As she exercised her five-octave vocal range, her long locks blew in the wind - only making her performance that much more Mariah. The songstress also changed into a sexy black dress and and a country girl outfit, sitting on a bale of hay at one point.
The esteemed singer recently pushed back the release of her upcoming album. She shared on Monday that she's holding off on releasing The Art Of Letting Go for artistic reasons. "While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," she wrote on her Twitter page.
She went on to say: "I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first to know!" The whole album will feature her Billboard hit #Beautiful, featuring Miguel.

New song: Mariah Carey (feat. Miguel & A$AP Rocky)
Mariah Carey calls upon Harlem native A$AP Rocky for the first official remix to her hit single "Beautiful". The vocals and production are the same, only difference is an added A$AP Rocky verse to the beginning giving it a little bit more of a Hip-Hop sound. The original "Beautiful" is found on her upcoming album "The Art Of Letting Go".
This remix may disappoint Mariah fans as the only difference is an added 35 second A$AP Rocky verse but no worries! She plans on releasing four more remixes over the next few days including another Hip-Hop collab, a dance remix, and a Spanglish version. You can bet those will have new vocals and new production. On another note, this is a good look for A$AP Rocky.
"The Art Of Letting Go" was originally set to release on July 23rd but delayed indefinitely due to Mariah wanting to put more creative work into the album.

Mariah Carey delays upcoming album release date
Mariah Carey has taken to Twitter to tell fans that she is delaying her upcoming album, which was set for release on July 23. "While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," the former American Idol judge shared.
Mariah added, "I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first to know." It was recently announced that Mariah will be performing at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert held at Central Park on Saturday, July 13!
In addition Mariah released a special message on her official website. There will be an exclusive lambs-only moment on 7/23! Please know that I'm super excited about the upcoming events: BET Awards, Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, The MLB charity concert in Central Park, and even just being included in the incredible cast of "The Butler". Most importantly, I finally get to go on another world tour. I can't wait to see my fans and sing my brand new music as well as the fan-favorites.
