Power publicist Cindi Berger has parted ways with Mariah Carey after more than 15 years, sources
exclusively told Page Six, before the singer embarks on her Las Vegas residency next month. When reached for comment, Berger confirmed that she's no longer working with Carey and said, "I have enormous respect for Mariah. She is one of the great talents and voices of our time, and I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors."
Berger, co-chairman and CEO of PMK˙BNC, added of the split, "I care very deeply for her personally, but I felt that professionally it was time for us to move on." Sources tell us that Carey has yet to bring in a new p.r. rep. Carey, 45, will kick off a residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Vegas on May 6, performing 18 of her No. 1 hits in the act. She's also expected to put out an album of her hits for Epic.
The news of Berger's departure came as it was also reported Carey and Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment are developing a Christmas film to star the diva. Deadline reported that New Line bought the untitled project.
