Hallmark Presents: A Christmas Melody (720p) [Lambz'R'us DOWNLOAD]
Director: Mariah Carey
“A Christmas Melody” revolves around Kristin (Chabert), a beautiful, stylish divorcee who is a talented clothing designer and her young daughter. Kristin has just had to close her small Manhattan boutique to return to her Ohio home town and live in her parents’ former home. It’s an adjustment for Kristin and Emily – especially when she runs into her former high school rival Melissa (Carey). Melissa is president of the PTA and tries to make Kristen feel as unwelcome as possible. Kristen and Emily struggle to find their new normal with the help of the hunky local music teacher Danny (Elliott) and Kristin’s Aunt Sarah (Najimy), the local coffee shop owner. With a little holiday magic and music, Kristin and Emily find that home is where the heart is.

"Infinity" reviews
Mariah Carey Releases 'Infinity,' Which Is Basically A '90s Break-up Ballad
Mariah Carey's greatest hits album, "Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity," will feature only one new track
and it debuted Sunday night on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube. Titled "Infinity," it's a (somewhat cheesy) break-up ballad, featuring Carey's signature breathy vocals and super high notes.
The album, and this track, is part of a reunion collaboration between Carey and Epic CEO L.A. Reid, who produced her best-selling album "The Emancipation of Mimi," and the campaign to promote her#1 to Infinity show at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace. "Infinity" -- and its accompanying lyric video -- is a little hokey, but it's a total reminder of Carey's '90s-era glitter-heavy star power. Bonus: there are butterflies.
Vibe:
Mariah Carey Releases New Single, ‘Infinity’
Mariah Carey is preparing to give music fans a reminder of her longevity with a forthcoming greatest hits album, Infinity. Reunited with L.A. Reid at Epic Records, MC’s first order of business is to showcase 18 of her biggest hits.
Due on May 18th, the diva is also packaging some new music on the album for her day 1 fans. On the self-produced title track, Mariah effortlessly rides the melody in her sweet spot.
Spin:
Mariah Carey Bemoans the End of ‘Infinity’ on New Single
The ballad will serve as the one new track on upcoming compilation 'Number 1 to Infinity'
In May, pop legend Mariah Carey will release Number 1 to Infinity, a compilation collecting all 18 of her Billboard Hot 100-topping chart hits — a tally that leaves her tied with Elvis Presley for second-most of all-time among artists, by the way, behind only the Beatles — to coincide with the beginning of her residency at the Coliseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. To round out and promote the collection, Carey has released the Obligatory New Track from the set: “Infinity,” a sweeping ballad that starts with an orchestral intro of Just Blaze-sized bombast and ends with a trademark Mariah whistle-register high note. In between, the diva laments a relationship’s end with breathy resignation: “Close the door, lose the key / Leave my heart on the mat for me / I was yours eternally / There’s an end to infinity.” (Fans will no doubt prognosticate about the song’s true-to-lifeness concerning MC’s own recently dissolved marriage to husband of six years Nick Cannon.)
It’s not too likely to end up as Mariah’s 19th Hot 100-topper, but it’s a torch song that’s stadium-sized in both sound and emotion, the likes of which no one pulls off quite like the Elusive Chanteuse.
MTV:
Mariah Carey Just Released A Goosebump-Worthy Breakup Hit
Following her split with Nick Cannon, Carey tells us that 'there's an end to infinity.'
Mariah Carey’s new song, “Infinity,” is a swelling orchestral R&B jam that manages to work in a Fritos reference.
If that doesn’t make you interested, listen to the lyrics, which are undoubtedly about getting over a breakup. The chorus will break your heart as she professes that everything has an end — even infinity.
“Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me,” Carey sings on the track, released Monday (April 27). “I was yours eternally, there’s an end to infinity.” She sings the word “infinity” with a descending vocal run, letting it tumble down as if it were following her relationship with estranged husband Nick Cannon.
After being married since 2008, Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in December. The two have been playing out their marriage drama in the public eye as they continue to co-parent their children, Moroccan and Monroe. Carey sings that that it’s not as happy as it seems though.
“Ain’t no being friends/ Ain’t no false pretense/ Ain’t no make amends/ Ain’t no come agains/ That’s the story, ain’t no happy ends.”
“Infinity” is the only new track off her greatest hits album, Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity, which will be released on May 18. The diva is also opening her Vegas residency on May 6.
HollywoodLife:
Mariah Carey Releases Power Ballad ‘Infinity’
All rise for Mimi! The pop icon has just released a new song for ‘Infinity’ and it’ll have you feeling all kinds of empowered– an immediate must listen!
Bow down to the queen! Mariah Carey is set to release an entire album of her number 1 Billboard songs– ya know, because she has had an incredible 18 of them! Along with all of her greatest hits, the album titled Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity also features a brand new song, titled simply Infinity. The track was released on Apr. 27 ahead of the full album release on May 18. In other words, what are you still doing here? Listen to the amazing new song right now!
Mariah Carey’s ‘Infinity’ — New Single
Show ’em how it’s done Mariah.
In her brand new song Infinity, Mimi is totally returning to her roots, complete with throwback lyrics and the powerhouse vocals which made the superstar just that.
A sample: “Outta amo/Gotta reload. If life was a game/You’re a free-throw.” Classic.
Mariah Carey, Legend
Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity reunites Mariah with Epic chairman and CEO Antona “L.A.” Reid, who previously worked with the songstress on her 2005 comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi. In a statement, Antona expressed how excited he was to be working with the legend once again. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back together again with Mariah. There is really no one who comes close to Mariah as both a songwriter and a singer, and as the world knows, her vocal range is legendary and truly incomparable.”
We couldn’t agree more!
Prior to the album’s official release, Mariah will begin a string of performances as part of a residency in Las Vegas’s Caesars Palace. Beginning on May 6, Mariah will perform a confirmed 18 performances, running through May 26.
Billboard:
Hear Mariah Carey's Sassy New Break-up Anthem 'Infinity'
For Mariah Carey, revenge is a dish best served in a 90's-tinged heartbreak anthem.
Carey premiered her new song "Infinity" and its lyric video on April 26. The throwback-flavored track is a soaring break-up track, complete with sassy lines that shut down the guy she's singing about. They are the kind of lyrics that might have speculate that the track is about her recent split from Nick Cannon. Or perhaps it's just Carey returning to form as the queen of post-heartbreak empowerment.
"Close the door/ Lose the key/ Leave my heart on the mat for me," she declares on the chorus. "I was your eternally/ There's an end to infinity."
But the chorus is almost sweet compared to some of lines she slings at other points on the track, including "Name hold weight like kilos/ Boy you actin' so corny like Fritos/ Wouldn't have none of that without me, though/ Ain't none of my business, it's tea though/ Outta ammo, gotta reload/ If life was a game you're a free throw/ It's nothing that you don't already know."
"Infinity" is featured on her upcoming Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity release due out on May 18 on Epic Records/ Columbia Records/Sony Legacy.
Entertainment Weekly:
Mariah Carey's new single 'Infinity' is the '90s throwback we've been waiting for
Mariah Carey released “Infinity” on Sunday, the new single off her forthcoming greatest hits compilation, Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity.
“Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me,” Carey belts on the track, which is also available through iTunes and Spotify. “I was yours eternally. There’s an end to infinity.”
Set for release on May 18 via Epic Records and Columbia Records/Sony Legacy, Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity reunites Carey with Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who helped reinvigorate the singer’s career with 2005’s The Emancipation of Mimi. The new record will tally up Carey’s 18 No. 1 Billboard hits, meaning songs such as “Always Be My Baby” and “Heartbreaker” feature prominently. (Carey’s fond of the #1 to Infinity moniker: it’s also the name of her Las Vegas residency, which stars on May 6.)
A video for “Infinity” is due soon from director Brett Ratner.
Radio.com:
Mariah Carey Returns to ’90s Roots with Breakup Anthem ‘Infinity'
Mariah Carey is all cried out and she’s ready for you to just leave your key and get out.
For her own take on the breakup anthem, she’s taking a Beyoncé to the left, to the left approach and asking her ex to leave it all behind. And that means everything.
“Close the door/Lose the key/ Leave my heart on the mat for me,” she sings. “I was yours eternally/There’s an end to infinity.”
Related: Watch Mariah Carey Sing Carpool Karaoke with ‘Late Late Show’ Host James Corden
The only new track on her greatest hits album Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity, out May 18, has her making it clear she isn’t interested in being friends or making amends, singing, “Ain’t no happy ends.” Um, got that, Nick Cannon?
It also has her hitting all the right notes, something she’s been having a bit of trouble with lately. We recommend you stay to the end so you can hear Mariah hit a note that dogs can only hear—you know, like those good ol’ “Always Be My Baby” days—and then get all giggly about it.
The track is now available on iTunes, and plan to see a video from her pal director Brett Ratner very soon.
Carey is gearing up for her Las Vegas residency, which she announced earlier this year
Syracuse:
The diva's back: A new Mariah Carey song, "Infinity," is ready to storm the charts to No. 1 and beyond. The '90s-flavored breakup anthem will easily suggest to fans she's singing about her ex-husband Nick Cannon, with some curious lyrics like "boy you actin' so corny like Fritos." The chorus, though, is radio ready: "Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me, I was your eternally, There's an end to infinity." Carey's latest greatest hits collection, "#1 to Infinity," hits stores May 18.
Vulture:
Mariah Carey’s ‘Infinity’ Takes Us Back to the ’90s
Mariah Carey has had a rough time lately: She was struggling in concert, filed for divorce from her husband Nick Cannon in January, and has to fend off comparisons from these little whippersnappers. So why not remember the good times — i.e., the '90s? Enter "Infinity," the (only) new track off her compilation album, #1 to Infinity, which has all 18 of her No. 1 singles, plus this single. It's a throwback in the best way: empowering lyrics, soaring vocals, and a chorus with multisyllabic words (and French!) that you can mangle at karaoke. Take that, Nick Cannon!
Elle:
MARIAH CAREY'S NEW BREAKUP ANTHEM 'INFINITY' MARKS THE END OF NICK CANNON
"Boy you actin' so corny like Fritos."
Mariah Carey, queen vocalist and car karaoke participant, just dropped a new single, "Infinity," and it's a wonderfully nostalgic breakup anthem. The song has a throwback '90s vibe—upbeat tempo, a dramatic chorus establishing the relationship is done ("Close the door/lose the key/leave my heart on the mat for me/I was yours eternally/There's an end to infinity"), and lots of hilarious insults include "Boy you actin' so corny like Fritos" and "if life was a game, you're a free throw". Welcome back, Mariah.
PopCrush:
Mariah Carey‘s “Infinity” lyric video may look like a cheesy Disney commercial (and like it was put together in PowerPoint), but the song itself is on its way to becoming a classic Mariah heartbreak hit.
Outfitted with a sparkly purple background (so Mariah), the lyric video is fun, playful and a little silly (cue images of a heart splattering on a welcome mat) — but it’s also the perfect vehicle to showcase her beyond-impressive range, especially after the not-so-flattering criticism she received for not being able to sing live. (Spoiler alert: She sounds amazing now.) Not to mention, we all know how much the Elusive Chanteuse shines on a good heartbreak tune.
“Close the door / Lose the key / Leave my heart on the mat for me,” Mariah belts out on the chorus. “I was yours, eternally / There’s an end to infinity.” Depressing AF, yes, but that’s the best part of breakup songs: They’re insanely relatable and the kind of jams you just want to sing alone in your room while simultaneously sobbing and stuffing your face with Ben & Jerry’s.
“Infinity,” produced by Mimi herself, may not pack as much of a punch as “Always Be My Baby” or “We Belong Together,” but it certainly contains heart-wrenching enough lyrics to hit you right in the heart — especially when Mariah lets loose with that acrobatic voice of hers. And maybe, just maybe, it provides some insight on the ending of her marriage to Nick Cannon, who has been nothing but supportive of his ex and her new music.
“Infinity” is Mariah’s newest release and the brand-new track off of her upcoming greatest hits album, Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity, which drops on May 18. Ready, Lambs?

Mariah Carey to star in Christmas movie
Christmas Is You" singer is set to star in an upcoming, untitled Christmas film, E! News has confirmed. According to Deadline, who first reported the story, Carey will play a "major role" in the flick.
While the plot is unknown, the trades reports that "Christmas is at the film's center, along with a theme of how the power of music can transport you back in time to your truest and most authentic feelings." The movie will also feature some of Carey's classic holiday songs, along with tunes from other artists.
As for the origin of the exciting project, Carey came up with the idea herself and pitched it to her BFF and recently rumored boyfriend Brett Ratner! The duo recently sparked dating rumors when they were photographed together on vacation. However, a source told E! News that the romance rumors are false, adding, "Brett thinks it's silly."
Carey's Christmas movie will be written by writers David Diamond and David Weissman and produced by Jon Shestack. Carey has had a mixed history with her feature film appearances. Her performance in the 2001 film Glitter was basically universally panned by critics and fans. However, her small role in the Oscar-nominated flick Precious received acclaim.

LambzRus: Counting Down The #1's
1. "Vision Of Love" was Carey's debut single, the first from her self-titled debut album. Written by Carey and Ben Margulies, "Vision of Love" was released on May 15, 1990 by Columbia Records.
In the United States, "Vision of Love" entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 73 during the week of June 2, 1990, and reached the chart's summit nine weeks later. The song remained atop the chart for four consecutive weeks, and was ranked sixth on the Hot 100 year-end chart. It also topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for two weeks and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks for three weeks. In August 1990, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the song gold, denoting shipments of over 500,000 units.
2. "Love Takes Time" was released as the second single for Carey's debut album. "Love Takes Time" was another success like Carey's debut single "Vision of Love" it reached number 1 in its ninth week on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent three weeks at the top of the chart, from November 10 to 24, 1990. It spent 17 weeks in the top 40 and the RIAA certified it gold. It topped every other Billboard chart for which it was eligible (including the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks). Because its success was divided over two calendar years it did not rank high on Billboard's year-end charts, making 76 on the 1990 chart and 69 on the 1991 chart.
The song did not receive as many awards as "Vision of Love," but still managed to win a BMI R&B Award for Song of the Year and Songwriter Award. The song also won Carey the 1991 Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Urban Contemporary New Artist.
3. "Someday" was released as the third single from Mariah's debut album and is a jackswing-influenced track. "Someday" continued Carey's streak of number 1 hits in the U.S., becoming her third consecutive number 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached number 1 in its eighth week on the Hot 100 and spent two weeks at the top of the chart, from March 3 to March 16, 1991. 5. "Emotions" was written and produced by Carey, David Cole and Robert Clivillés of the C+C Music Factory, and recorded for Carey's second album of the same name. It was released as the album's first single on August 13, 1991 becoming Carey's fifth consecutive number 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, giving her the distinction of being the first and to date only act to have their first five singles make number 1 on the Hot 100. It reached number 1 in its seventh week and spent three weeks at the top, from October 12 to October 26, 1991. It replaced "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch featuring Loleatta Holloway, and was replaced by Karyn White's "Romantic". It remained in the top 40 for 20 weeks and was one of four singles from Carey on the Hot 100's 1991 year-end charts, ranking 22. The song topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and became her second number 1 single on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. The RIAA certified it gold.
6. "I'll Be There" was recorded during Carey's appearance on MTV Unplugged in 1992, and released as the first single from her EP MTV Unplugged. Co-produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, "I'll Be There" became Carey's sixth #1 single in the U.S., and her biggest hit elsewhere at the time. Out of all 18 number one singles. "I'll Be There" is the only one that was not written by Carey.
"Fantasy" achieved strong commercial success around the world. The song became Carey's ninth number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It became the first single by a female artist to debut atop the chart, and only the second single to do so. It spent eight weeks at the top of the chart, from September 24 to November 18, 1995, Carey's longest stay at the time. It replaced "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio, and was replaced by Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)". "Fantasy" spent 23 weeks in the top 40 and was successful on other Billboard formats, including the R&B and dance charts. Its strong sales led it to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA, Carey's first single to do so.
"Fantasy" was the second best-selling single of 1995 in the US, with sales of over 1,500,000. It was ranked seventh on the Hot 100 year-end charts for 1995 and 49th on the 1996 year-end charts. "Fantasy" ranked at number 15 on the Hot 100 decade-end chart for the 1990s.
During the week of September 25, 2005, Carey set another record, becoming the first female to occupy the first two spots atop the Hot 100, as "We Belong Together" remained at number one, and her next single, "Shake It Off" held the number two spot. Additionally, the song held the top position on the official Hot 100 Airplay chart for sixteen weeks, tying for the second all time spot with No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996)."We Belong Together" was certified Platinum by the RIAA, denoting shipments of a million copies throughout the United States. On the Billboard Hot 100 Year-end Chart of 2005, the song was declared the number one song, a career first for Carey.
